Krka National Park is a vast area of exceptional and multiple natural values. With the submerged part of the Krka estuary, it is about 72.5 km long and is the 22nd longest river in Croatia. It springs at the foot of the Dinara mountain, 3.5 km northeast of Knin. With seven travertine waterfalls and a total drop of 224 m, Krka is a natural and karst phenomenon. The travertine waterfalls of the Krka River are a fundamental phenomenon of this river. The border of the Krka National Park stretches for 50 km along the upper and middle course of the Krka River. Along the river Krk there is a diverse flora that attracts various experts and visitors to the National Park. Within the National Park there are various trails and lookouts.
